I recently took over the website for HFBK Hamburg, a renowned art and design university in Germany. The website, https://hfbk-hamburg.de/, had previously been maintained by a media agency, but the responsibility for its development and maintenance was transitioned to me.
As the lead developer on the project, I am responsible for both the front and backend development of the website using Django and Wagtail. This includes implementing new features and functionality. One focus has been the custom-built search backend, allowing the website to be structured around a large search bar without traditional navigation.
We were lucky to find Matthias Brück to work on the HFBK Hamburg website. Communication is easy and efficient, and he has a great ability to understand and translate our wishes and requirements into tailored solutions for everyone involved. He is a reliable and precise worker who always meets deadlines. Working with him has been a great relief after our previous experience with a large agency.
I have also consulted on best practices and helped to technically implement change requests from the client. My goal is to ensure that the website is not only functional, but also user-friendly and visually appealing.
I am excited to be a part of the team at HFBK Hamburg and to have the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of their website.
